Why We Ask

Four of us started Uptown Revue during the pandemic as our other performance groups unfortunately fizzled out. We decided to start our own group comprised of talented people who care more about bringing joy and entertainment to our community than we do about making money.

While our day jobs pay our household bills, they don’t cover the costs of producing shows in our free time. The money we make from shows and workshops is partly paid to the performers and production crew, and the rest goes back into slowly reimbursing ourselves for production expenses. We don’t have a rich benefactor supporting us (yet).


Things That Cost Money

Show supplies (tape, paper, envelopes, bins, hand stamps, etc.), game supplies, prizes, props, backdrops, audio equipment, printed marketing materials, online marketing campaigns (Dallas Observer, CultureMap, social media, etc.), studio rentals, and other production-related expenses. Our costumes are entirely separate.

How You Can Support

We’re always looking for product or gift card donations that we can use as game and raffle prizes. We can offer our fans a special discount for your business. We’ll also accept donations of any monetary amount through Venmo, CashApp, cash, or old-fashioned check. Every little bit helps.

What You Get From Us

Our undying love and support, of course. We can also offer shout-outs by our emcees during shows, hand out promotional materials, put your logo and information into printed materials, feature you on our website and social media, and anything else you may like that draws attention to you and how much we appreciate you.
